Just a day out

I took a few photos the other while out with my friend. I am sharing these not because they are so unique or different but because they were taken within a short period of time and reflect Shanghai China in a normal way. This is how it is here and what see all the time.

An interesting street view. Modern buildings in the background yet older in front. Clothes are hanging out to dry, we see this ALL the time. Very few people have clothes dryers in Shanghai.

Similar to the first. If only you could smell what it's like. Then you would truly know.

Picture of a man in the an ally way having lunch.

Sidewalk view. Scooters all about and some shoe repair items.

Man with a few flowers for sale. He was camera shy.

This was taken right next to the man with the flowers. This man was asking for money right outside two restaurants. Can you see the Happy Easter sign in the window? There were very few signs of Easter this year.

There are so many types of housing in Shanghai. This is just one. I will have to get more pictures of all the varieties. It is rather interesting to me.

Typical street. Old bicycles, random items laying about the walkway.

Happy Easter

Hope you all had a great Easter. Collin is not taller than Brooke, he's just standing on a ledge. We are enjoying a nice start to spring here after a cold and dark winter. This picture was taken in our neighborhood.

Lost in Translation

Funny signs I have seen around town.

Collin's basketball team should have been Thunder, like Oklahoma City Thunder but clearly something was added - - an extra S. Made me laugh.

This sign was on a restroom door. We clearly get the message but Maimed Person People seems like just too many people for one stall. :-)

This sign was at the local Market where you can get goods like electronics, bags, watches, jackets etc. "Golf Thing Store" was too funny to pass up.

This a sign, in the same Market that attempting to advertise a tailor, we think. This market has many tailors where you can get shirts, coats and dresses made.
